AllCast adds Dropbox browsing, subtitles in latest update

Popular streaming Android app AllCast is one of those utilities everyone should on their device. It grants system-wide access to stream content to your Chromecast whether that be stored locally, in the cloud, or from another app.

AllCast just got better having been updated to a new build, which adds streaming from Dropbox, subtitle support, and Roku playback fixes.

  • BETA: Subtitle support for Chromecast when streaming from a media server (ie, Serviio with srt files)
  • BETA: Stream from Dropbox (requires Dropbox app to be installed)
  • Chromecast letterbox is now black instead of grey
  • Roku playback fixes: now supports fast forward and rewind. Seek bar is hidden
  • While seeking, the new seek position time will be displayed
  • Fixes: jumpy lists, share-to crashing, album art crash, better file type detection

Although AllCast is in Beta, it works incredibly well and is worth unlocking the premium version to help support development.
