One of the more popular chromecast apps, Allcast, had a big update this week. It’s quite the change log if you ask us, and a bunch of things we think users will appreciate. Some of the new features include:

  • New video transcoding engine, this will help keep your wifi network from having issues when casting high definition video.
  • The recents menu was revamped to include which folder you accessed last.
  • The splash screen is now optional, you can disable it in the settings.
  • A slightly revamped ux.
  • The 10 minute view limit has been removed, a watermark has been added instead.
  • A new HTTP engine
  • Lots of bug fixes.

Stay tuned for an in-depth look at Allcast soon as we’ll be publishing our review of the app. Comment below and let us know what you think of the new update!
