Chrome OS to soon feature Android file transfer capabilities

If you looked through the release notes for the recent beta channel update for Chrome OS you might have noticed the main highlighted feature of MTP support in the files app. For those who don’t know what this means, it’s that you can plug in your Android device and transfer files to and from your Chromebook. Available for the early adopter crowd, this should be rolled out to the stable release in the near future. Once deployed on larger scale this will certainly be welcome to those of you who like to use both of Google’s operating systems. A feature like this pushes Chrome OS further in the right direction.

Another key feature included with this update was a set of features that helps with touchscreen accessibility. Again, only available in the beta channel now, it will be around 6 weeks before these features are pushed to the stable channel.

Let us know in the comments what you think of these added features. Are you glad that Google has added MTP support to Chrome OS?
