Chromecast gets minor software update

A new software hitting the Chromecast this week brings about a number of minor adjustments. If there’s anything that average end users notice it will come in the form of audio staying the same level across sessions. We’re sure some of you have run into situations where volume levels vastly differ from one app or day to the next. Thanks to theĀ 16664 update this should be a thing of the past.

  • Bug fixes and stability improvements
  • Chromecast audio volume level is retained across sessions
  • Improved IPv6 support
  • Improved DNS robustness

According to Google, the update will hit Chromecasts within the next week.
