Comedy Central, Nick and Sesame Street Go can now be cast
Folks have been clamoring for some of their favorite apps to get updated to support Chromecast, and today, we have a few new ones to add to the bunch. Comedy Central, Sesame Street go, and Nickelodeon have all been updated with the ability to cast to your Chromecast without any hiccups or issues.
Chromecast is adding seven more great apps to your casting queue. Get bigger laughs with The Daily Show on Comedy Central, learn with Elmo on Sesame Street Go, or cast Nickelodeon and let Spongebob keep your family entertained. And, no matter how far you travel this winter, stay connected with TuneIn for international radio stations and millions of podcasts. With EPIX, YuppTV and ENCORE Play also casting, you have a full lineup of shows, sports, games and movies to last throughout the holiday season.
With apps getting updated on almost regular basis, and the built-in ability to cast directly from your device to your Chromecast with Android 5.0 Lollipop, we are getting closer to a time where cable-cutting is the norm. I, for one, have already started the cable cutting process, and am looking forward to what 2015 brings in terms of the world of no cable.
Most of my favorite apps are already updated, but there are a few channels here and there that if updated, would make me cut all the strings and go. For example, WatchESPN only shows some sporting events that I would like to watch, and if I can find a good solution, I’d be all all done with Comcast finally. You have to keep up with your favorite sports teams, right?
