Gamingcast App released bringing Games to Chromecast

Following the release of the software development kit (SDK) for the Google Chromecast, app developers have been exploring the limits of exactly what the little media streaming device can do.

Israeli developers Eli Sherer and Yaron Burger have been doing just that, and have discovered that streaming isn’t limited to just photos and video. They have just released Gamingcast, which will stream games to the Chromecast using your device as the controller.

There are four titles including Snake, Pong, Xonix and Tetrominoes, and more are said to follow. Whilst the games are probably not the latest and greatest, or the best graphics, it does show what is capable through the Chromecast and it certainly looks promising.

Gamingcast is available for $1.50 (£0.85) from the Google Play Store.
