Google Chromecast getting global rollout on 25th March

Currently the Chromecast is only readily available in the US, with only one reseller stocking the media streaming device in the UK, but this is set to change as of the 25th March 2014 when Google is set to release the Chromecast to the world.

We’ve already seen the UK retailers stocking up on Chromecasts ahead of an impending launch which is set for 19th March, with a global rollout following a few days later on the 25th March. The Chromecast Android App has already been updated to support 50 new languages ready for a global adoption.

Whilst Zavvi have set their price of the Chromecast in the UK to £39.99, they are stating a £20 saving over the RRP, so it’s not yet clear what the wider pricing model will look like for the UK, and the remainder of the world for that matter.
