Google Chromecast preparing for May launch in Australia
Whilst the Chromecast was released to 11 more countries this month, it seems Australia was left off the list. However, according to a report from CNET Australia, the launch could be as little as six weeks away, with Google aiming for a release date of 7th May.
When contacted for comment, a Google spokesperson told CNET Australia, “We understand that everyone’s really excited about Chromecast but we don’t have a timeline to share about it coming to Australia.”
Of course any speculation should be met with reservation, since provisional dates can always change, but it gives a general timeframe for the launch and shows Google have not forgotten about those down under.
