Linux can now run on Chrome OS in a window in developer mode
With Chrome OS being a form of Linux, many people have made their Chromebooks dual-boot Chrome OS and another Linux OS, like Ubuntu. However, you could only run one or the other at a time. With an extension called Crouton, you can now run a Linux OS in a window while in Chrome OS.
Francois Beaufort posted on Google+ about this update. You have to be in developer mode and the aforementioned extension, along with some setup. Beaufort breaks it down in his post here.
This will make things easier for developers, who can work with both environments at the same time instead of needing to boot between two systems. Will you use this functionality?
